Hey everyone!
My name is Claire, 21, and I am a student at the National Institute of Horticulture and Landscape Agrocampus Ouest, which is a French engineering school. I am also currently employed as an intern student at Aesthetic Landscapes, and I enjoy it! The picture to the left is me with my firends. I am second from the left.
My motivation was to obtain more knowledge and skills on all the different aspects of landscape architecture and to establish connections between what I'm learning at college and a professional centre. I had already taken drawing courses, and I have a good knowledge of horticulture. My last school project (shown below) was the design of a 50m2 interior garden for the “ExpoFlo 2010” a floral exposition in Angers. I have also visited many gardens and parks of castles in France and other countries. Indeed, I travelled a lot in Europe and in the United States. Moreover, coming to New Zealand was a dream for me and this internship permits me to accomplish both passions: landscape design and travelling.
What else could I say? I love music, as I have played piano for 15 years, but also dancing salsa and climbing.
And here I am, and maybe you will seat on my chair one day, trying to create the design of a vegetable garden, finding suppliers or completing a plant list! So if you wish to improve your skills, and feel the spirit of kiwi landscape architecture, you will enjoy working for Aesthetic Landscapes.co.nz.
